Kent & Sussex

The coastline in Sussex and Kent provides a contrasting mix of large seaside towns such as Eastbourne and Brighton as well as towns such as Hastings which for years was dependent on its fishing fleet. The Kent coast also has popular towns such as Margate that has renewed its popularity in recent years as a centre for the arts - to rival nearby Whitstable - famous for its oyster beds.
